Chester: Rural lots and farm properties where the well carries the whole household and then some.
What a service call looks like
Most calls start with a few questions on the phone. Sometimes that's enough to get your water back with a breaker reset or a pressure switch you can check yourself, and Don will tell you if that's the case. When it isn't, the truck comes with the common pumps, pressure tanks, switches and controls on board, so a diagnosis and a repair can happen in the same visit.
What we find most often
A failed pressure switch or a burned contact. A waterlogged pressure tank that makes the pump start and stop every few seconds. A bad capacitor or control box on a three wire pump. A split in the drop pipe or a failing check valve. A worn pump that can't keep up with the house anymore. Each has its own fix, and not all of them mean a new pump.
Submersible and jet pumps
Most homes in North Jersey run a submersible pump set deep in a rock well. Older and shallower wells still run jet pumps in the basement. We service both, along with constant pressure systems and the wiring and controls that run them.
