Submersible well pumps
The workhorse of a deep rock well. We pull, diagnose and set them in a single visit on most jobs.

What we do
Wells are all we do. That’s the whole business, and it has been since 1952.
Variable speed well pumps
Constant pressure at every tap instead of the old on-off cycle. Worth it on big houses and long runs.
Well tanks & pressure tanks
Short cycling, waterlogged tank, pressure that dies in the shower. We install Amtrol Well-X-Trol.
Well treatment
Iron, sulfur, bacteria, that smell you can’t place. We treat the well itself, not just the faucet.
Water yield testing
How much water the well actually gives, measured properly. Buyers, sellers and home additions all need it.
Well cleaning & chlorination
Restores flow on a well that has silted or fouled, and clears a failed bacteria test.
Well video inspections
A camera down the casing tells you what’s wrong before anyone guesses at a repair.
Well abandonment
Sealed and decommissioned to state requirements, with the paperwork done right.
Geothermal services
Service and repair on geothermal well systems. The loop side most plumbers won’t touch.
Not sure which one you need? That’s normal. Call 973-853-1550 and describe what the water is doing.
The truck you’ll actually see
Ackerman has been pulling and setting pumps in this corner of New Jersey for over seventy years. Rock wells, deep wells, steep driveways, wells nobody can find. None of it is new to us.
